This is the Vincentians' Miraculous Medal association, built around the shrine in Philadelphia where the Perpetual Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is prayed and livestreamed every Monday. A member's intentions are placed at the shrine and carried in the community's prayers through the year, and the membership offering keeps the shrine open and supports Vincentian work with poor communities. It is more a devotional family and benefactor circle than a rule bound confraternity: there is no daily obligation, only an invitation to wear the medal and pray the novena.
What you promise
None stated as binding. Members are encouraged to wear the Miraculous Medal, pray the Perpetual Novena (in person at the Basilica Shrine or by livestream), and bring their intentions to Mary. Membership is renewed annually.
What the Church attaches
Members are remembered in the Vincentians' prayers throughout the year, have their intentions placed at Our Lady's shrine, receive the Miraculous Medal Message magazine twice a year, and get a 15 percent discount on religious items. The same benefits apply to the separate Rays of Hope Society for ongoing donors.
